Waah.
I've been sick for about 3 days now, but I was finally well enough to go to school. I got a call from Mum and Dad just to see how I was feeling and give me some advice on how to get better. I just got lots of sleep and drank a lot of orange juice and mango juice.
Today I had Recording with Mr. Faisal, which was awesome because I the assignment was to put ten songs into one whole song which lasted EXACTLY ten minutes long. It was good, because that meant one minute for each song and we had to fade in and fade out from song to song. We were using ProTools and I was using some Jazz tracks and I came up with a pretty good chill out medley. I got the song completed in class and next week we begin recording of our own songs. Mr. Faisal showed me the guitar effects and distortion settings on ProTools and it looks pretty sweet.
Next week, I'll finally be able to play my new Telecaster and lay some of my song ideas down. I'll be learning how to master and mix along the way according to Mr. Faisal. I know some of the basics already because i've done some home recording already, but not to precise levels, I just made adjustments using my ears. I'm really excited.
It's David's last night in Kuala Lumpur, we're heading out to Hartamas to have a few drinks and some shisha. We'll end David's holiday just chilling out, like we always do.
