RIOT!

I was chilling out last night with my roomate Azkar. We were talking, having ciggies until we heard this enormous cheer coming from the other apartment blocks. We ran to the balcony and we saw that everyone, from every block, was on their balcony and there was a small crowd down below. People were throwing bottles, glasses, paper airplanes and blowing shit up. When I called my friends who were down below to ask what was going on they said:

"Oh, it's a riot. It happens three times a year. There's no reason for it, they just do it".

That's when all the rumours about Desaria being a crazy place came flooding through my head. I mean, there was glass in the pool. Water bottles and lamps were scattered everywhere. People were throwing fireworks down the stairwells and people were lighting toilet paper on their balconies. There were guys taking advantage of the situation going,
"Everyone give it up for..." and they would say their name and the whole of the apartment blocks would erupt in cheers and shouts. I wanted to see what the three security guards would do, they just sat back and watched. I mean, what could they do right?
I was scared someone was ACTUALLY going to get hurt. But, everyone seemed pretty relaxed about it. I was told by my other roomates not to head downstairs because it was very dangerous at this point.
